2018-19 Reading Challenge
Our whole school theme is ‘brilliant books and super stories’. Our focus will be on reading and enjoying books. We will be launching our Reading Challenge with boxes of new books for each class brought to school during a special assembly by Gill from Little Ripon Bookshop. If your child has any books they love or would recommend, please encourage them to bring them in and share them…and the same goes for you!
Each class will start with one story as their focus.
During the term Class 1 and 2 will be visiting The Rainbow Factory to see a play and take part in story creating workshops. We will also have a children’s author in school to work with the children.
Our aim is to make the children’s time at school memorable, fun and happy. Please click on the links below to see which books are recommended for each year group. You will also find the book review sheet below which you can use to write your opinions on the books you have read to share with your class.
