Eco Schools Committee

North Stainley have formed an Eco School Committee to undertake the EcoSchools project - you can find out more about the project by clicking HERE

Our committee:

The Eco Schools project is run by students to look at the sustainability and eco-management of our school. Our Committee meets every Half term and we have been discussing the usage of energy and water, the management of litter, waste - what and how we recycle, the biodiversity and wildlife within our school and the community garden.

We have completed our Environmental review in preparation for publishing our Action Plan and successfully applied for our Bronze Award. We had to look at the nine key areas- Transport, Waste, Water, Litter, School Grounds, Healthy Living, Energy, Biodiveristy, Global Persective.

We have created an action plan and the Eco Committee we were awarded our Silver Award on 2nd December 2015!

As part of this Mrs Mansfield (our former Business Manager) asked the Governors to adopt a Green Procurement Policy
