Closure of School

If it is deemed necessary to close the school early during the day, a text will be sent to all parents. It is therefore most important that we have an up to date mobile telephone number for you. If you need to update your contact details, please send these by email to Mrs Mansfield at admin@northstainley.n-yorks.sch.uk or telephone the school.

Re: Arrangements for school closure due to heavy snow

I just thought I would remind and clarify the arrangements should we need to close the school at short notice due to heavy snow.

We have a text system to advise parents that the school will be closed for that day. We shall aim to do this by 8.00am, but there may be circumstances which make this difficult to guarantee. Nonetheless, this is my intention. We will also send out an email to all parents who have registered an email with us and information will be on the NYCC website http://www.northyorks.gov.uk/schoolclosures

It is essential that we have current mobile telephone numbers and email addresses.

I shall contact a local radio stations, i.e. Stray FM. Please note that I shall monitor the situation daily and repeat the process each morning, if necessary, if the school remains closed.

I will not contact you if the school is open, so if you hear nothing please assume school is open

If it is deemed necessary to close the school early during the day, a telephone call will be made to all parents. It is therefore most important that we have an up to date mobile telephone number for you. If you need to update your contact details, please send these by email to Mrs Mansfield at admin@northstainley.n-yorks.sch.uk or telephone the school.
