Topic 11th January

11 Jan 2021

Today I thought we could look at food miles which are the distance an item has travelled from where it was produced to where it was consumed. This includes all the miles in the supply chain process. This could be a problem for our environment - I wonder if you can think why? Have a look in your kitchen and see if you can find out how far some items travel. You can complete this sheet or work in your books.
Once you have completed the work, can you explain what you think? Do you think it is good for us to import items? What are the benefits?
