Class One Learning WC/ 4th March

What another Busy week we have had in Class One this week!

From Forest Schools to Computing, writing fairytales to making informative posters about St. Mary's Church, exploring the texture of slime in the outdoor provision and everything in between!

However, I think it would be fair to say that the children's favourite day of the week was Thursday 7th March... WORLD BOOK DAY!

The children all took part in dressing up in beautiful, wonderful and creative costumes to represent a book they enjoy, love or cherish!

In Class One we had;

The Gruffalo
Two Princess Elsa's
The Stickman
Charlotte the Spider
Sleeping Beauty
Gaston the Ladybird
Giraffe, the Pelly and Me
A Pirate
Hermione Granger
Shifty McGifty
The Mad Hatter

Willy Wonka
Mr. Twit
Mary Poppins
Woody

The children started the day with a special World Book Day Collective Worship where they showed the rest fo the school their costumes and told them what book they were from and why!
Then they decorated T-shirts linked to the book of their choosing! The children created a design before creating their brautiful garments!
They also took part in lots of Storytimes, reading with peers, book scavenger hunts, in-character role play and lots more!
Please see the pictures below!

The children all recieved a World Book Day Token that they can use in exchange for a book. Find out more below:
https://www.worldbookday.com/books-and-tokens/

And Finally, in your child's Homework book, I have printed and stuck in a competition sheet set by the organisers of World Book Day.
Please complete and enter at your own discretion; this does not form part of your child's weekly homework.
