Class One Learning WC/ 30th September

Yet another busy week has opened up lots of learning opportunities for us here in Class One!

In Maths, KS1 finished off their place vlaue topic fo this term and ahve started with addition and subtraction, with year one understanding part-whole models and year two understanding fact families! Reception have been comparing amounts and creating rules for sorting!

In PE the children continue to work on ball skills and always enjoy their lessons on the rec with Mr. V on a Friday!

In PSHE we have been looking at emotions and feels in Reception, and the feeling of pride in KS1!

We have really enjoyed getting ready for the Harvest Festival being super little scarecrows and decorating our own hats to look the part!

In History we have been looking at old artefacts found in the house ready for our trip next week to James Herriot Centre. Thye couldnt believe that our very own door stop is actually a historical artifact- I wonder if you can spot it in the slideshow below! Reception have been looking at Firefighters, Policepersons and Doctors and Nurses to continue their work on Who Helps Us!

Our Class Dojo total for this week stands at 188! Lots for showing Friendship and super spellings this week!

Have a lovely, restful weekend!

Miss. Gregory
