Class One Learning WC/ 4th November
What a fantastic first week back after half term with some great learning attitudes!
KS1 in Geography are continuing with learning about the world; this week learning about England and the other countries that make up the United Kingdom, as well as adding our five oceans onto the world map on the working wall!
In Maths, Reception have been looking at the number 1,2 and 3. This has included finding things, playing fun games and reading a story! KS1 continue to learn about addition and subtraction, with Year One looking at 'first, then, now' maths stories and Year Two getting ready to start understanding the column method next week!
In PSHE, Jigsaw Jenie helped to teach the Reception children about responsibilities, while Jigsaw Jack helped Year One and Two learn that we have some things that are similar, and some things that are different; and that this is OK as we celebrate difference!
This term oor focus with Mr V in PE is invasion Games! We enjoyed our afternoon session this afternoon getting warmed up and playing Fishes and Domes and The Big Picture!
Reception made a delightful treat for the class on Tuesday for Bonfire night.... chocolate apples with sprinkles!
We are currently thinking about what prizes we would like to win when reach a target with our dojo's, and year two are going to be set AR reader targets to work towards too- which will mean earning more dojo's to get more prizes!
