Class One Learning WC/ 10th March
Reception have been growing their mathematical code and focusing on 6,7 and 8 in maths this week. They have been doubling, making pairs and looking at composition. KS1 have been exploring Geometry through measuring height and length, looking at centimetres and metres, comparing and measuring around the classroom!
In PSHE Reception have completed their Celebrating Difference Module, completing their learning around respect for similarities and difference around them, learning why being unique is important and what anti-bullying means. KS1 have been exploring goal setting and the concept of setting a goal and working out the stepping stones to achieve it. They enjoyed a range of challenges in this weeks lesson, one being to work out what you need to know in order to make your body into a letter!
In Science, KS1 are enquiring the question: How do animals, including humans, grow and stay healthy? So far we have discussed animals and their offspring, life cycles, the four basic needs for survival: water, food, shelter and oxygen and explored the importance and uses of water!
