Crown Impressions
26 Apr 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians,
In light of the upcoming Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Miss. Gregory and the Rural Art’s Society have come together to organise and arrange an art afternoon for all the children in school! The afternoon will entail looking at a range of resources and inspiration with the intention that all the children create their own “Crown Impressions”.
Once the impressions are completed, we are fortunate enough that fourteen of the chosen impressions will be professionally printed and framed to go up on display in the village! Furthermore, all the art work will be going up on display in the village hall too for you all to see at the Jubilee Lunch.
To allow the children to explore a range of resources for inspiration, I am writing to you to ask for any crowns or tiara’s that we can use on the day (they will be returned, so please label them); Fancy dress crowns, toy tiara’s, bridal tiara’s etc. Any contributions would be massively appreciated to enable the children to engage with the afternoon. The event will be taking place on Thursday 5th of May, so anything brought in before then would be great.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
Miss. Gregory
