North Stainley Village Events

13 Jan 2023

Happy New Year! Just to alert you to several events and opportunities to get together coming up soon in North Stainley.

This Saturday, 14th January, from 12 noon until 2pm we have Soupy Saturday – not a coffee morning, but the opportunity to come along for a light lunch in the Village Hall. There will be a choice of 3 tasty homemade soups (gf and vegetarian options available) along with a choice of rolls followed by tea or coffee and cake! Please come along - on your own or with friends – enjoy lunch and help raise some extra funds for our village church.

As you know, we usually have a service at St Mary’s twice a month. This Sunday at 9.15 will be a Service of Morning Prayer (this week we will be using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer service) and on 29th January we are hosting a joint service of Holy Communion for all the churches in the Masham Group of Parishes. We also have our more informal Bacon Church next Thursday, 19th, at 8.45. Come along for a bacon roll (vegetarian gf sausages also available), fresh coffee or tea. After breakfast and a chat we have a brief time of prayer for our community and our world. Everyone is welcome to come along.

The following week it will be Panto time, oh no it won’t, oh yes it will! Performances by the NS Arts Society (including your friends and neighbours!) of Treasure Island will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2-4th February. See the attached poster for further details.

Hope to see you soon

Best wishes

Jane
