Lightwater Valley are holding a competition, and our school has been chosen to take part.
Over the past two years at Lightwater Valley have been developing and investing into the park catering more towards the younger audiences, primarily under 12’s. Currently they are in the process of developing a new and exciting Woodland Trail, this will showcase the enrich wildlife at Lightwater Valley through a fun and interactive walk, as well as new rides and attractions for the 2022 season.
To support this change, they have a very important task of creating a new mascot, and this is where they are asking for your help! They are running a competition with four local schools in which the whole school can get involved and participate with colouring in, styling (any clothes/accessorises) and even naming our new mascot. The theme of the mascot is a Yorkshire Dragon, attached is the template you can work off:

However they are encouraging you to go wild and get creative so if you want to design your own this is fine.
The prize for the winning entry will include:
- A free school trip for the whole school!
- A dedicated plaque at the Dragon Mascot House with the winners name and school proudly displayed
- 4 x 2022 park tickets which can be used for a school raffle
