Special Collective Worship with Kenyan Visitors
Today we were fortunate enough to have some special visitors come all the way from Kenya to speak with the children!
Anne, and her two daughters, have come all the way from the New Hope Children's Centre that North Stainley are linked with in Kenya! The children have had chance to write letters to each other and see pictures, but today we got to speak to Anne in person and hear her stories!
They came and spoke to the children about what the do and how they come to have the children they do in their care! The children showed upmost respect as they listening to the stories and information that they shared, before being able to ask questions of their own. They asked some very considerate questions such as what toys the children have, what ages go to school there, what sports the children like to play and what they do in a school day!
We all appreciate the time they gave us today, and it was lovely to see them attend our Harvest Festival at St. Mary's Church this afternoon too!
