North Stainley Remembers
15 Nov 2024
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day, all the children and staff paid their respects with a two minute silence by the grave of a World War One Gunner who has been laid to rest at St. Mary's Church. Some of our Year 6s read a beautiful poem to help everyone in their reflections, and we laid a reeth in rememberence.
In the afternoon Miss. Gregory lead a worship on Rememberence Day and why it is important that we pay our respect and take some time to reflect on the sacrifice's made.
The school would also like to share that we collectively raised £60.64 for the British Royal Legion through the sale of poppies, slapbands, stationary, bracelets and other memorabilia on a breaktime. Thank you to all for your contributions.
