Meet Our New Committees
05 Jan 2025
We would like to introduce you to our new school committees.
Here at North Stainley, pupil voice and team work are essential to ensuring we consistently have a safe, respectful environment for all to grow, blossom and flourish in. We have five committees in total;
- The School Council;
- The Collective Worship Committee;
- The Reading Mentors;
- The Charity Committee;
- The School Sports Crew.
All children in school were given the chance to sign up to a commitee once they got to hear how each committee would work. Each one promotes a different area of the school and community's priorities based on pupil, staff and community voice. The groups are overseen by a member of staff supporting the children's ideas and initiatives to work together to address tasks and problems.
The children can be seen around school wearing their committee badges with pride on their jumpers; this makes the committee they represent visible so peers and staff can collaborate together so that information can be fed back at committee meetings held throughout the year.
More information will follow from the children, so that they can share what they do as a committee and their plans for the year.
